As we approach the one year anniversary of the PowerBots Retro Early Access release. I’m grateful to every person who helped beta test, purchased the game for early access, or offered encouragement along the way. We couldn’t have made it this far without you and this game wouldn’t be the same without your valuable feedback and support.

I’ve come to realize that the biggest hurdle holding this game back from release was my stubbornness in creating a custom game engine, refusal to work with the many advanced tools already out there.

I don’t regret working on a custom engine because I learned so much about the game development process and what really makes a game engine under the hood. I strongly believe it allowed me to find ways to add value to the game development process for myself and for other indie developers out there who are interested in working together.

Here’s to a great road ahead!
